History

With my mothers loving support and my fathers artistic abilities, I discovered my love and passion for music at a very young age. Spending my early childhood around my musical grandfather (who guided my musical intellect) sparked a side of curiosity and obsession that would ultimately become my life. Over the years, I credit my great success with support from loving friends and family, an honest business team, my desire to create, and the many fans who have supported me. All of these aspects have kept my music career continuously evolving.

Starting with the cello and violin, my studies started in elementary school, During this time, I listened to a wide range of music from Eiffel 65 to The Beach Boys. As an early teen, my friend from the neighborhood would introduce me to bands from the 60's and 70's. From there this "new" music greatly sparked my interest with compositions that had a driving guitar as the main instrument.

I picked up the guitar at the age of 13 and as the saying goes, the rest is history. Bands such as AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Led-Zeppelin and Metallica would eventually become intricate influences in my quest to learn more about this beautiful instrument. What began as an innocent hobby blossomed into a burning passion with a desire to create an artistic platform rich in creativity, collaboration and design.

After high school, I would ultimately find myself at the crossroads of college where I began my career transition. I enrolled at Oakton Community College in Des Plaines and it was from there that I became obsessed with studying musical compositions and history. I quickly realized I had potential to pursue a degree in my passion and over the next few semesters, I took all the necessary courses to expand my knowledge. I made the life changing decision to apply to Columbia College Chicago to solidify my presence as a profession musician. I was accepted for enrollment in 2010.

While attending Columbia I studied under some of the best instructors and musicians. I completed courses in piano, jazz guitar, classical guitar, baroque counterpoint, history of music, music theory, orchestration, composition and chorus. Instructors such as Norman Ruiz (Classical Guitar), Marcos Balter (composition), Ilya Levinson (Baroque Counterpoint), Kenn Kumpf (Orchestration), Joe Cerqua (Ear training), Bill Boris (Jazz guitar), Nate Bakkum (History) and Bart Bradfield (Chorus) have been instrumental in shaping my music career.

I graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2013 with a Bachelors Degree in Music Composition and embarked into the professional working world of music.

Today, I instruct private lessons at various music and art academies across the Chicagoland area. In addition, I have several students that I teach privately in their residence. I am also an artist consultant, brand and market developer for young and upcoming artists who wish to venture into their own music career.
